Standing up and taking the next step
Thanks to all of you who worshiped and served with us on October 16 for the “Stand Up Against Poverty” service at Congregacion Leon de Juda. Over 150 followers of Christ stood up that evening in worship to our Lord and Savior. With uplifted hands and hearts, we prayed for the needs of the poor, rejoiced in how the Body of Christ is working together to empower the poor around the world, and stood with brothers and sisters to ask for justice.

Over 43 million people stood up as part of this 24-hour global movement of action on poverty. You can see photos and videos of people standing all over the world at www.standagainstpoverty.org.
The BFJN invites you to take the next step with us this season as we help churches and campuses begin Lazarus at the Gate groups throughout the Greater Boston area.
Lazarus at the Gate is a bible study that helps members practice economic simplicity, just consumerism, and collective giving. Together, as an act of worship, we can use our resources to decrease poverty.
