Fair Trade Boston

In Great Britain, the Fair Trade Town movement dramatically expanded the range of products that benefit poor farmers and workers around the world through fair and sustainable business. From London to Liverpool, Fair Trade coffee, tea, rice, sugar, flowers, bananas, spices, and cocoa are staples on British shopping lists. (See for yourself – check out the UK Fairtrade Foundation’s growing list of Fair Trade towns).

Imagine a Fair Trade Boston on this side of the pond – where Fair Trade coffee is around the corner and Fair Trade bananas are sold in your local supermarket.

To take the first step toward Fair Trade Boston, the Boston Faith & Justice Network is training teams to organize consumer advocacy for Fair Trade and work collaboratively with stores and markets to stock Fair Trade.

Teams launch at the Fair Trade Boston Team Training – Sept 26 (6-9pm) and Sept 27 (9am-6pm). For more information, download the flyer and registration form and sign up a team from your church!
