About the Event

The Pilgrimage will be led by Rev. June R. Cooper, Theologian in the City, Old South Church in Boston and social justice activist Rev. Dr. Nancy S. Taylor, Senior Minister Emeritus, Old South Church in Boston.


Rev. Cooper has been leading Civil Rights 's Pilgrimages since 2014.


Pilgrimage Goals

  1. Living Legacy: Acknowledge the living legacy of white supremacy and its ongoing impact on people of color.

  2. Human Liberation: We must learn the history of white racial violence and understand how intergenerational trauma hurts people today if we are to liberate ourselves for tomorrow.

  3. Creating Community: Pilgrims will return with a renewed commitment to anti-racist activism.
